The pest control owner's question
Can a pest control company sell its service records to AI?
Updated
Usually yes for the treatment and service records the firm's technicians wrote, once the customer table is gone. 3 of the 5 pest control platforms we read say the firm owns its data.
Ownership in the platforms' own terms
Licensing a pest control archive means a buyer takes a cleaned copy and the firm keeps its originals. The first test is the software contract. Each clause below is quoted from the platform's own published page; read them as information about what is published, not as advice on your agreement.
FieldRoutes: company data stays the company's property
FieldRoutes' terms say: "The Parties expressly agree that the Company Data shall be and remain the sole property of Company and FieldRoutes does not have any right, title or interest in the Company Data."

Envu: trap sensor data and its aggregate use
Envu's digital pest management terms give the service provider and the customer access to the data the trap sensors create, and say Envu will not disclose it to non-affiliated third parties unless it is used in an aggregate and anonymous format.

Stripping the customer table
A service record links a household or a business premises to an address, a contact and sometimes access instructions. Those are personal details while a person can be identified, and they come out before a copy is licensed. What remains is the pest work itself: what was found, what was applied, and whether it worked.
